Congo-Brazzaville: President Sassou N'Guesso inaugurates the new seat of the Congolese parliament

Congolese President Denis Sassou N'Guesso inaugurated the new seat of the Congolese parliament in Brazzaville on Wednesday.

It was at a related ceremony in the presence of Chinese Vice Premier of Commerce Quian Keming that the President of the Republic of Congo Denis Sassau N'Guesso proceeded to the inaugration of the new parliament, which is a gift from the People's Republic of China, the result of China-Congolese cooperation, financed at nearly 34.492.000 CFA francs. Construction of the new headquarters lasted 3 years, starting in April 2017 and was completed in August 2020.

                       -Technical Features

The new seat of the Congolese parliament is a two-block building. It occupies an area of 47,000 square meter of which 9013 square meter built surface. The capacity is 500 seats.

The new seat of the Congolese parliament has a presidential suite, 7 meeting rooms, a press room and a health care room.
