The presidential election in Congo-Brazzaville will be held on March 17, for the vote of law enforcement officers and on March 21, for the civilian population. A few days before the start of the electoral campaigns, the media regulator in Congo organized on Tuesday a ceremony of draw decisive the order of the passage of candidates in the audiovisual media.

The ceremony brought together the campaign managers of all presidential candidates and the leaders of the private and public media.

Phillipe Mvouo, director of the Higher Council for Freedom of Communication in the Republic of Congo, condemned the communication of candidates who use social networks to spread messages of hatred, ahead of the electoral campaigns that begin on March 5. The Higher Council of Freedom of Communication wants to promote the equitable passage of all candidates in the media and ensure equal time, their registration, he said.

The total number of candidates for the presidential election is 7, of which the current president Denis Sassou N'Guesso, a candidate has his own success.
