Congo-Brazzaville Election: Candidate Sassou N'Guesso ends his election campaign with a big rally in Brazzaville

After two weeks spent traveling the interior of the country to convince voters, Denis Sassou N'Guesso, candidate for his own succession to  The presidential election of March 21 held a large rally in Brazzaville on Friday in front of a crowd of supporters who came to listen to it.

Denis Sassou N'Guesso who returned to the capital Brazzaville this Friday around noon (1200GMT local time) from N'Djambala, a locality located in the north of the Congo, was received a triumphant welcome from these supporters as soon as he arrived in Maya-Maya International Airport.

Shortly after his arrival at the airport, a carnival was organized up to the meeting site, held in the square of Boulevard Alfred Raoul.

Denis Sassou N'Guesso in his speech to these supporters explained his government plan for his next term entitled "Together, let's continue the march towards development".

After promises on the construction of the country Sassou N'Guesso also mentioned the employment of young people saying that "The efforts provided by the government should continue during its next term, while statistics reveal that more than 70% young graduates are still lacking jobs ina country plagued by corruption and embezzlement of public funds.

 

 

This year's presidential elections in Congo-Brazzaville take place in two rounds. The first round was held on March 17 for the vote of the public force and the vote for the civilian populations will be heldon March 21.

Six candidates including opponents Guy Brice Parfait Kolelas and Mathias Dzon are in the race for the post of President of the Republic to face President Denis Sassou N ' Guesso in power for 38 years.
